That is a brilliant setting. The house is full of character and I also like the little garden next to it. Have you build the house all by yourself? If so I would love to hear how you have done it, what material you have used and so on. (any pics?)

thanks for sharing

Hi Johan ,
yes , the building is scratch build , I don`t like the buildings to buy.
Sorry , there are only a few pictures I can show , but I´ll try to explain
my way.
The basic frame is constructed with styrofoam plates which are covered with paper on
both sides.
The bricks are glued to it in the right position.

Here you can see it at an other building.
http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt59/Heiner_bucket/166113.jpg

Then filled with white clay. The next two pictures show the result.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt59/Heiner_bucket/166114-1.jpg

The rest is filled with modelling paste to imitate the plaster.
For I wanted to show rumbled Plaster , I made a second layer with a special paste which
keeps a little bit flexible , called deco paste from hobby time.
Next steps: Using masking film for the rumbled Plaster , airbrushing the the first colour
and removing the masking film. Then with a sharp knife lift up the the second layer ,
so you get the rumbled plaster.

Sorry , but I didn`t make more pictures  Trist.
I hope it is passably declared ?!

regards
Heiner

Hello Heiner,

Great work, and good SBS pictures too (even though you haven't got too many, sadly).
White clay huh? Is this ordinary sculpting clay, like DAS clay?

I do think you could give some of the stones different tones and hues to make the street more interesting.

All the best, MartinD

Hello; Heiner!
Wonderful diorama! I especially like the scratched house and it's surroundings! Very inspiring..!

My suggestion on diorama names are in the line with "Advesaries" or "Intruders"; as both the Germans and their dog are intruding the others territory, but on a different level.

All the best

Very nice!

This is coming together nicely!

I like the multitude of colors, and at the same time the fact that they are muted and pleasent to look at. Nothing in the back takes your attention away from the figures at the front, but there are plenty of details to look at after your first glans.

Many thanks for your comments !!
In a few days the diorama will be finished , then I will take
some more photos.
There are still missing 6 figures , all on the workbench now ,
and a few little things are to do.
I´m very glad that you like it ...... thanks.
